Cruelty...is never necessaryis not justiceis something we're all capable ofis always a choicesays more about those who inflict it than those who are victims of itis upheld by the status quo....Just a reminder that our country is still locking up and separating families - two thirds of whom have no criminal records (according to ICE). That practice has had nearly 20,000 grievances filed by detainees and at least 29 fatalities, including seven suicides, since President Donald Trump took office in January 2017 and launched an overhaul of U.S. immigration policies. Since 2015, over 15,821 violations of detention standards have been recorded and yet 90% of those facilities received passing grades by government inspectors.
